Day 268 of our Green Year: Energy Star

Renovations to make our home become greener continue, and we have come to the decision to replace the appliances in our home with Energy Star appliances. Energy Star appliances are well-known for being extremely energy efficient, often using as little as 25 to 40 percent of the energy that regular appliances use. Replacing the fridge, stove and microwave means that we will be using far less energy at our home. Energy that will be hopefully coming from solar power and wind power at the farm eventually.

The appliances that we are replacing will be recycled properly or given away through Freecycle.
